The mechanics and staff of Griffin are consistently above par. They are courteous, thorough and go out of their way to help. We have been coming to them from early 20 years and not once have we experienced anything but excellent service. I can’t recommend them highly enough; they’re like family.

I searched far and wide for competent Audi mechanics in the Bay Area before finding Griffin. It was a long search. Don’t waste your time! Just go to Griffin. They actually know what they are doing. It’s wonderful! Also, I got my headlights sanded down on an old car & now I can see at night! They always know what to recommend before I realize it’s a problem.

I found this shop online while searching for some new seats for my 240z. The salesman on the phone was extremely polite and even offered to have me come down to check out the seats before ordering. He told me they don’t have any in stock and that it could be a while before they could arrive. I went down anyway to check out the seats because I found a set for sale online in Florida. When I arrived, I was greeted friendly by the staff and shown were the seats were to check out. They unfortunately didn’t have a Speed V on display to checkout. The salesmans went out back to check and found a driver in the color I was looking for new in the box. After checking it out, I asked if this one was for sale. He said yes, so I purchased it. Preferring to do local business, I told the salesman of the seats in Florida for sale and asked if he could find me the passenger side with some rails. I told him I would give them the week to find before purchasing the passenger from Florida. Good news, they found the passenger and some rails the next day and the will sent there. Glad I found this place, they got me what I wanted.

Thorough job. It's nice to have a relationship with trusted experts. I have used this great repair operation for a high mileage 2015 Audi A4 2.0T Premium with the Tryptronic 8 speed dual Clutch Transmission. They have done expert engine work, suspension work, Transmission work and caught problems that could have killed the engine if they were to develop further as problems. Just had the 250,000 beauty Spa treatment for this car which was engine intake manifold pulled and intake valves blasted with walnut shell to clear out the carbon buildup that was hurting compression. Now back to factory spec. Plugs and injectors, Oil Change and Brake fluid change. Reasonable prices and reasonably fast turnaround. Turbo checked out without play in the shaft and seals are acceptable. With this performance sedan at 250,000 miles I am off the edge of the map, where it says " beyond here there be dragons " . So we'll see. They previously did expert work on by finding a gently used Transmission replacement when the Mechatronix Unit in the original trans gave up the ghost on sensors at 187,000. Meh, Sensors. Not cheap but least expensive of all bad options. Runs like a champ. I wouldn't have expected it to last this long. This car has a rebuilt front end and struts, is on it's second Transmission, new low pro tires on original 18 inch rims, rear wheel bearings went out at 99,000 under warranty, front wheel bearings went at 165,000, replaced then when I had the front end rebuilt, the Lower Crankcase pressure control valve (that little plastic model of the starship Enterprise that sits on top of the engine) I replace that every 60,000 miles or when the oil consumption starts to tick up. You had better do that or you'll blow piston rings. I know, it's happened to me on the same model previous. A 2013, same engine same set up. And Audi seems to have gotten a handle on the Turbo after cooler pump not bursting into flame or setting the wiring harness aflame. Had that happen on the 2013 also but caught it and put it out before anything beyond the wiring harness burned. By comparison, other than the Transmission failure at 187,000, this 2015 has gone 15 rounds and then some with preventive maintenance. This car, a 2015 model year, in Jan, 2016 at 36,000 miles when I obtained it used 1 Quart of oil per 10,000 miles. Now 3 1/2 years later at 250,000 miles it uses about 1 Quart every 6,000 miles, not that bad. Handles remarkably well. Silver paint needs a little love on the corners which is scheduled. Audi corporate hates drivers like me. They want you to drive it 60,000 miles, turn it in and buy new. As long as it can be maintained I'll keep driving it. I have a blown engine from the previous A4, (rings gone in #4 cylinder, due to failed lower crankcase pressure control valve) that I'll have the long block rebuilt and put in this one when it's finally time to retire the engine. So far I have factory Compression on test, and I'll have the timing chain, tensioners and sprockets replaced and the turbo swapped out in another 10,000 miles or so. We'll see how far this long block lasts.
