The guys at Griffin Motorwerke are simply amazing! I drove all the way up from San Diego and stayed in a hotel, for them to install a tall-torso Scheel-Mann seat in my Nissan Kicks, which I bought for the headroom, but which didn't have the visibility I need, as pretty much no car does. I can now see traffic lights without ducking, and it's great having the sun visor, the grab bar, and a rearview mirror again! The drive home to San Diego was so much better than the drive up with the factory seat. Everyone at Griffin was great, and I want to say a special thank you to Bryan Brisbo who fabricated parts, modified the floor of my car, and installed the seat; Danny Chavez who worked on the wiring with Bryan, including hooking up the seat heater to the factory in-dash button; Jesus and Richard for the many fun rides between the hotel and shop; Chris Smith for coordinating everything; and Terry Griffin for spending so much time with me on the phone and suggesting the Scheel-Mann seat after seeing a picture of me sitting in my car, showing I sit too tall for the Recaro seats. I will definitely see these guys again for another custom seat installation ten years or so from now, after I drive my car into the ground and have to buy a new one! Doug Book

An all round excellent experience. Griffin Motorwerke resolved an issue I had had with my car for a couple of years that other auto services had not been able to diagnose let alone fix. I was talked through exactly what had to be done and all questions were answered clearly. All the people working there that I came into contact with were knowledgeable, conscientious, friendly and courteous. I am very happy with the service I received and can't recommend them enough. One other important point to make at this time is that they take protection against Covid-19 very seriously - everyone wears masks, there is plenty of hand sanitizer available on the desks, and they disinfect everything fastidiously. Even my car key was sanitized before it was handed over to me. Thank you Griffin Motorwerke!

There is something to be said for developing a relationship with a local independent auto shop and that is no less true with Griffen. Personally, for me, they tick all the boxes.

Amazing customer service nice people job done fast

Griffin is the only place I'll be taking my 2003 GTI. Curly, and the entire shop team, provide nothing but the highest quality service. They get the work done fast and done right with the best prices I've been able to find in the Bay Area. They've also never tried to needlessly up sell me on work I didn't need or want which is pretty important to me as I'm not a car genius and don't always know exactly what my car needs. If you need anything done, from regular maintenance to more structural or performance work, please do yourself a favor and just take it to Griffin.
