Get to know Milltek Sport Exhausts
There are many different exhaust offerings from Milltek Sport enabling you to pick the look, noise level, and versatility that best suits your needs. With so many available options, it can be difficult to keep it all straight. Lets dig into the differences.
Resonated vs. Non-Resonated
In short, a resonator helps cancel out certain frequencies emitted from the engine. This in turn gives the exhaust a quieter, often more refined tone. If you are in the market for an exhaust that is only slightly louder than stock, yet gives a refined, sporty tone, then a resonated exhaust would best suit your needs. If you are looking to unleash your vehicles glorious exhaust note, and let those around you experience it as well, the non-resonated option will fit the bill.
Example of Resonated vs Non-resonated:
Choosing between a resonated and a non-resonated exhaust will give various results depending on the specific vehicle and engine configuration. If you have any questions regarding which variant would best suit your application, please give our Milltek Specialists a call (585-388-1288).
Exhaust Tip Options
Milltek offers many different tip options giving you the ability to outfit the exhaust to match your style. Below are pictures of each option, showing the difference between finishes, and outlet style.

Valved vs Non-Valved
Many modern vehicles come from the manufacturer with a Valved exhaust system. This type of exhaust system operates just as the name suggests. The rear mufflers each have a valve that when closed divert the exhaust gas through the muffler, lowering the noise output. When switched open, they allow the exhaust gas to bypass the muffler unleashing more sound.
Milltek gives you the option to keep this stock feature intact, with the Valved systems operating in exactly the same fashion as the factory exhaust. A Non-Valved system will operate as a traditional exhaust setup without on the fly adjustability in noise output.
